Because Words Simply Cannot

I know I could sit here and write a thousand poems, each for you
But in doing so, no matter what they say, I know
Know that they could never begin to say all you mean to me
I couldn’t tell you how you’ve touched me, all the times my love for you has grown
I couldn’t express how I am completed each time I touch your face
There would be no chance that pen on paper could compare to the love in my heart
So when I look at you and I’m puzzled, yet I seem mesmerized
Please realize that I am at the loss of words I find when writing
For how do I tell you all that will never fit into words
Because how I care for you somehow cannot be described adequately
By simply saying I love you
