What I'm Afraid Of
I thiink I'm dying tonight
from the fear of losing you
I didn't like the sound of your voice tonight
or the excuses you gave
I pray that I'm wrong
and you'll want to get together tomarrow
You forgot about the dance Saturday night
that I've been talking about for weeks
It's a good thing I reminded you tonight
before you decided to go to sleep at 6:30 P.M.
And you don't even want to go out on Sunday,
which happens to be Valintines Day, damnit.
I was going to make you heart-shaped cookies
but I guess I'll give them to your grandmother now.
I bet if I called over there
you'd answer with a cheery "Hello!"
but that's what I'm afraid of
