By me

Coincidence
Wooden park bench that doubled as a swing.
We Walk into a carnival that wasn't supposed to be there.
You weren't sure if you could see me at all.
But it happened.
But you did.
I lay on your lap as you stroke my hair for hours.
I love you's are never needed between us.
They are as certain as that park bench and that carnival.
Kiss you goodbye as the sun set and watch you board the train.
Wonder when I will see you again.
Know you are wondering the same thing.
But I don't push.
You kiss me, a kiss that conveys the breaking of your heart.
A kiss that I know has to last for a while longer.
Until we can be together again.
At least that is what I hope.
