SONNET NO. 2

another day i face not with a smile
coz above my head is a thunderstorm
it's been there my love since you left this isle
gone is my sunlight, your majestic form

i know not what drives this mind to still think
'bout you when it brings me pain and sorrow
if i have my way i'll sever the link
then smile i will when i face tomorrow

i'm surprised to feel that my heart still beats
what with the loss of the one i live for
i will bless the day when it stops and quits
then rid i'll be of pain forevermore

i never thought i could write this much
with a hand devoid of your loving touch
