Chase [calling from London]

Chase called tonight- we talked for a couple of hours. He made a
weird sighing sound several times throughout the conversation and
I told him he reminded me of Ernie from "Sesame Street." He said, "That
is not good." Had a good time. He forgot my birthday, though. Finally
remembered it is in February but couldn't recall the date. Told me he
loved me, but not in a serious, mushy way. Just matter-of-factly.
   When we hung up Autumn called and asked for suggestions on a Halloween
costume. I'll leave for Austin tomorrow at 3:30.
   My life is so eternally infernally strange. I ache for drama and 
instead I get badly written sitcoms.
    I'm such a snob. I wish I were more easily satisfied.
