Distance Becoming Shorter

As I sit inside gazing out the window,
I find myself in the middle of a daydream looking…
The clear blue sky, the leaves changing colors, and animals playing.
All the wonders of nature that remind me of you.

These days grow ever more exciting,
As we approach the end of the week once again,
The time when we get to see each other once more
When the aching in my heart can subside for a short time.

The longing to look into your eyes will soon be over,
My fingers desperate plea to touch you will soon be answered,
The that lips have been waiting for you all week will smile,
Emotions inside will soon be allowed to flow free.

All this is what you mean to me,
The feelings that you bring when I see you,
Excitement that I wait for all week.
You are all of this and so much more!
