Nichka

Nichka means "a night"
Of trembling sorrow
Which has visited
And now folds itself
Into the darkness of a birds wing.

Nichka heavenly watching
Below starless skies –
Meteoric light
Surrounds us like a circle
In a room of shattered glass.

Nichka has pale green eyes.
Through heavy mist,
She spins telling tales
of a loveless past.

I can't explain.
But I won't forget you.
