Childlike-ness
You mark up the windows of my eyes
with little nose smudges
and fingerprints
You cause hazy vision.
I lack the strength to
erase your interest with a little Windex.
You blow childlike fish faces
all over me
unaware of the instant evaporation
of your saliva on my skin
My eyes close.
I feel you
move above my body.
Capture all innocence with a kiss that
hurts me, stamped softly into my cheek
just missing the trembling corner
of my hopeful mouth
A tear falls.
A moment's imperfection,
I hide my tear in my hair.
Sweep me with the guilt of desire
then steal my shame with a swelled chest
and long ready arms
Doors to your warmth
A sigh seeps from my bones.
But favor care is not easily accepted
from an ignorant embrace.
