china sea

under a wooden bridge
lies a thirsty creek
it's route not reaching
the china sea.
i listen in fascination
as it sings its longing
of reaching its home
to only me
its summer day stillness
compounds the melancholy
of everything sorrounding
me and the creek
and the bridge sagged a bit
from a weight it missed
to forget how heavy it was
for what, a week?
oh please china sea
let this creek come to you
stretch your hands to reach
its lonely heart
its killing it i know
little by little each day
coz me,
and my home too,
is far apart.
