love, be not a cage for a free spirit...(A Sonnet)

love, be not a cage for a free spirit
open your door towards the lovely sky
nor be a prison always dimly lit
the sunshine, may you always not deny

your real glory comes from your liberty
sacrifices you make for freedom's sake
as surely as the birds do roam so free
give her the gift to choose what road to take

through darkest nights be like a guiding star
and lead the way towards enlightenment
allow not clouds to blur your visions far
you cannot grow with doubts and hence, lament

try to be as pure as a sunny day
then in my heart you will forever stay
