Love Lyric

You loved me out of innocence
And I wandered like the vine,
I praised the spring and sang its song
But withered past the time

Through the long, cold winter hours
I praised the spring and all its showers
But you loved me out of innocence
Until all---all was gone.

And where I wandered the birds did rest
But my limbs were cut from the barren nest
For all the birds had flown

Love me no more, I pray
This heart wanders another way
You loved me out of innocence
And the fruit falls from the vine.
