Slow river's pool
White Lilies in a crystal vase
a merlot so dark and dry
dabbling ducks in a slow river's pool-
eyes as vast as sky.
Her song of "Sweetheart!" to greet me
an Italian country side dream
her hook was planted deeply
two hearts were gathering steam.
A night's moment so quiet
under a lamp shades ambient light
"I need you" was her sirens call-
My soul unlocked took flight.
Lilies now are turned to brown
the wintering ducks gone home
Take me away my new merlot-
for there is more love to be sown.
