so strange how things said in passing or in jest just linger
mingling with my conscience as if they really know each other
maybe they do
maybe things said are sometimes too close to things i've thought
or maybe the things heard aren't exactly what was said
it's always interesting just how i'm viewed i guess
how others see me
compared with how i see me
which category i'm placed into
which equation i'm plugged into
and it's funny how there always seems to be an ex in the equation
