Beginnings

heady and dizzy
mind always busy
daydreaming of you
favorite thing to do
climbing up up up
overflowing my cup
ecstatic and silly
crazy, really.

now putting down the shield
that giddyness weilds
letting in vulnerability
and thinking sensibly
tasting how much more sweet
and how much more complete
one can begin to feel
once more even-keeled.

so nice to reflect
on what one can get
out of a serendipitous meeting
and openness to feeling
this incredible potential
to become essential
parts 
 of each other
