Sorry, no cancellations, no changes, no way to charge either

"Excuse me sir,
can you help me?
There's some problem with my card,
can you have a look-see?"

In the background you roar
-laughter not helping my plea,
as I feign ignorance
to my payment delinquency.

"I'm just so confused!"
holding back silly delight,
"Why can't I charge?
one little airline flight???"

I just want to stay!
Don't make me leave!
With my muse I must play
for at least one more week!

I set the phone to rest
my futile attempts dashed
pouting with puppy-dog eyes
at hopes and reality clashed

I gather my belongings
dragging my feet,
as we head to the door...
the destination bleak.

Not letting it sink in
that I must leave you now...
blocking out sadness,
trying to not have a cow!

I'll talk to you later,
we'll make plans to meet soon.
I'll be lonely without you
and wallowing in my gloom.

I shall miss your kiss
and your snug embrace,
your teasing and swats
and your beaming face.

To see you again "soon"
is still too far away.
Just don't you dare forget
ANY of my six day stay...
