How can I reassure you
my being grounded 
is not a lack of enthusiasm
for you

How can I make you believe
you are more special to me
every time I talk to you
and with each email
you are dearer to me than I could've ever
believed

How can I show you
across these miles
that your concerns
worries
and insecurities
only makes me want to hold you
more

How can I possibly express
how I crave your soul
and your lips
and that yes,
I want to pause sometimes too
but I'd rather jump
into
