Love's Neverending Season
As the days get longer
our love grows stronger--
through the summer and into the fall.
And as leaves change from green
to a colorful scene
we hear Old Man Winter's call.
A warm cozy fire
romance does inspire
and the two of us cuddle close.
As that blanket of white
falls throughout the night
we celebrate love with a toast.
The onslaught of spring
brings proposals and rings
and we quickly lose sight of all reasons
to complain of the heat
and of frostbitten feet
for we've only begun our seasons.
And when summer next falls
our hearts will recall
the mem'ries of seasons now past.
For through bare autumn trees
and the brisk winter's freeze
will this season of true love last.
