SEETHE

There is a word for the silence you speak
could, "Goodbye" be the word you seek?
Could a cat have gotten you tongue
as your mouth began to form the word
and scratched it from your vocabulary?
Could you have had a backflash from NAM
or a PCP lapse and forgotten simple curtesy
A goodbye to a 'special friend'?
Or maybe you got hit in the head by a truck
and suffered a severe memory lapse
for which robbed you of your common decency ?
OH! I never really gave that one much thought
You poor baby!  And I have been so cruel
to think, I wanted to hit you upside the head too
and my claws (being ten times sharper than that cat's)
would have ripped your whole tongue out
just before I strafed you with rapid fire
from the HIGH I'm on
But now I just want to see you get well
so I can hear you speak my name again
in agony
as you attempt to crawl thru that door!
