What Love Does Not Ask

The heart,the soul, the mind
are brimful, swirling with tastes,
textures, colors and oh yes---
raw emotion
and each bite I savor
is loaded with spice
sweet, hot, intense.

You learn not to bother
cross examining love,
because the answers
only breed more questions
and while you could still ask,
the lady only gives you so many minutes
before your time is up.

You can spend them engaged in conversation,
it's your dime after all
but don't be annoyed
when you spent all you had asking
for explicit directions
and then had no time left
to make the journey.

Love don't give a damn about semantics
and she doesn't play by Hayakawa's rules.
