I'd say goodbye too
if I had known you
Have we really met?
Could it be true?
I don't recall...
I met a man once
err...men
even twice
Can you tell which one was you?
Your hard, cold face and monotone
are alien to me
How could I love someone so cruel?
I fear you are mistaken me
perhaps
for someone you thought you knew
Could I have once kissed those damning lips?
Been held by those lying eyes?
Could this stranger looming before me
Been any dream of mine?
I think not!
So...please excuse me sir
I will go now
with no goodbyes
or toodle-loos
Cos I just can't say goodbye
to a man I never knew...
