The more you buy
the longer you'll live
anchor yourself to this planet
with a world of goods
Don't waste your time on people who
are impossible
and don't think
like you
Don't glance at those who don't flock
to your church
don't love anyone who is complex and
easily misunderstood
don't love those who choose not to hide
behind Smiley Face facades
don't kiss any frogs
only kiss the princes
marry someone who knows how to play the game
so he can watch sports from his recliner
while you tell your kids all the same lies
you were told by well-meaning adults
Be good and Santa will bring you everything
on your Wish List
be good and make Jesus smile
be a good girl
and someday you'll find a nice boy
who will take care of you
and let you live in his big house
sounds like a plan to me
love for free
because everything else
is so damn expensive
