This is not a force
that would confine itself
to the context of what
you read in my lines
or in my gaze
a tenderness that would
simmer to a stronger flavor
and tantalize the palate
of your unsuspecting heart
But this force
the forcefulness of your love
has taken me away from
my reckless imagining
and restored me to a place
my soul can call home
