Dancing lightly, I revel in your brilliance.
Your hot sun to my full moon,
I pull you towards me
Watch you bob and weave
Sit for a second and then you retreat,
Naturally, the ebb and flow of our tide.
I trip on your heartstrings and fall face first, stunned.
My confusion brings clouds around the train of thought
That chuggs along, breaking through the mist,
Pushing me on to stumble blindly through the maze of my mind.
And here I wait, playing that game again,
Praying that we both can win this time.
In the meantime…
I stiffly swallow down the torment that has drowned so many before
Swim to me darling,
Please, fight the undertow that drags us down to a watery grave
Can’t we co-exist? That stifled sensation still persists
And I long to resist, restrain these bad habits that always kick my own ass.
