The Context of Texture

Feeling is such a cliche---
overused, overplayed,
that we almost forget
what to call it
when the skin is burning,
the soul is liquid,
and the heart languid in regard.

I hide behind these eyes---
you call them unreadable? Good.
They are my protection
when the spirit, the core
demands shape shifting.
The hair is spider silk---
what of it?
The skin is mine
only at the moment
it is warming, heating
making me sweat and arch
to the point where a single touch
will make me cry out
in blessed release.

Feeling? Oh yes...that I have.
