twilight tulip meandering
he gallantly butchered and assembled a bouquet of tulips
to profess his love
i wonder how it feels
to have your reproductive organs chopped off and stuck in a vase with others
in the name of love
i wonder if the tulips are angry about it
if they sit there thinking, "thanks much buddy...there go my chances...
i was hoping to impress that lovely daffodil...oh well...maybe next year"
maybe i don't send flowers all that often because i sympathize
or i'm afraid of empathizing if the plants ever opt for vengeance
hmmmmm
would plants send each other bouquets of penises?
is that a disturbing thought?
justice?
