If I Have to Ask

If I have to ask you
Then I guess you don't
If I have to question
I guess that I do know
If I worry 'what if'
And think 'why me'
Then I think this is
The wrong situation
Right guy
Wrong time
I guess
I wonder...
Here we go
With the questions again
I already know the answers
Damn my always wandering mind
And damn my wandering eyes
I swear it was only
A sheer show of habit
That made me look at you
That way
I didn't mean it
Really
So, did you beleive that lie?
I believed all yours
Except now I know
The truth
Can almost hold it
In my hand
It burns...
Funny, odd, strange
The truth is supposed to
Set you free
So, why then has it
Chained me up?
Why has it bound me here?
Again...with all the questions
That the answers
I already know
If I have to ask you
I suppose I must
But just for the sake
Of my undying curiosity...
Do you love me?
And the answer
Shining in your eyes
Out from behind the cloud
That pain
Yes
You do
You love me
But, like I said
I already knew that
So, why then, lover
Do you strive
To hide it?
