I close my eyes with one thought in mind,
You, mysterious eyes, soft, sassy hair
And a heart of golden glow
So I conjure your image
In my mind’s eye
And see you here
Close enough to reach out and touch
Close enough to lean in and kiss
Taste those tender lips
And remember that sweet laugh
That forever lifts me from every bad place
Every hurt and pain
So I conjure your image
And reach for your arms
That will sweep me into the night
And bring the sweetest dreams to my sleep
As I close my eyes with you on my mind.
