Gentle Entrapment

I want you to understand
that it's not the fact that you're already a 'daddy'
And not the fact that someone else captured your heart long before I did

I've had my share of life experiences
And yes, I've been in love before too

But what I want you to know is that
There's really no hope for us
If you can't open up and let your heart free again

So that I, too, may hold out my net and try to catch it
