At Last and Forever
This night
my mind can only see
another night.
Looking out on the lakes so clear
seeing the moon up high.
There were pictures
not ones we could see
Just ones from
our own memory
We laid to rest
that moonlit night.
We laughed
We cried
We walked
We talked
We held hands
We held each other.
You told me secrets,
I told you mine.
That special night
we grew closer still.
I fell in love
all over again.
You said you loved me even more.
This
is so right,
so very real!
All these things,
I know
we feel.
Hard to imagine
being this happy
in such a short time.
I know we are
it feels
so good
so special.
That special night
spent in the arms
of the man who stands
only with a smile
at last and forever
as His princess!
