Wheel of Fortune

In a prison of my own thinking
Frozen in total fear.
Am I going in the right direction?
Will he really call? (Humph!)
Which one really loves me?
Which one do I love?
Am I making another wrong turn?
On this mad freeway of love
Why after all these years
Of hanging off cliffs by my thumb nails
Should I give a crap?
Why do some people get tornado lives?
While others just go along every day
Knowing sameness, same love, same life
Same OLE, same old (am I jealous?)
Me the queen of striking the match
To the dynamite just to watch it blow
Am I running out of fire starters?
Is the TNT now a DUD?
Or am I tied to the tracks waiting
For Dudley Do Right to show
What the hell am I scared of?
I can still dance, wear short shorts
Blow bubbles, kiss you
Till all the windows fog
And you are gasping for breath
Love won’t stand still for me
It will take me up to the tallest building
And toss me off, one way, DOWN
Reminder: Buy new hang gliding outfit
Old one has holes in the wings
Give me a good cup of tea, my computer
The ‘Loveblender’, and your kiss
And life will be Wheel of Fortune again
WHEW, now that I got that off my chest
Let’s do some Christmas shopping on line
