for what is
hand raised in quiet farewell
sadness leaking she waves goodbye
her man is leaving
going away
for a time too long
any time is too long
though in a corner tucked away
she has kept his shirt
the one he wore last night
with his scent still fresh
to comfort her these lonely nights
till his return
