Love's perfect work
Love dipped her brush
into my life
and gave my fate
a face.
With eyes of brown
and lips of rose
fine trimmed
with fire
and lace.
Her steady hand
caressed each curve
and drew each suple line
your perfect face
your gentle form
each tender breast
defined.
With peach
and pearl
She painted you
and perfumed
every part
then added love
to light your face
and so enslave
my heart.
I may have seen
others thus made
and known the artist's hand
but never one so sweet as you
made just for this one man.
And should the world
once voice a doubt
at anything here said
They have not seen
us twined in sleep
close knit
within our bed.
Love dipped her brush
into my life
and gave my fate
a face.
With eyes of brown
and lips of rose
fine trimmed
with fire
and lace.
