HAve you see my used to be?

Have you seen my used to be?

Oh have you seen my used to be,
So shining clean and new?
Oh have you seen my used to be,
Edges smoothed and pages pure?

I saw it here once long ago,
I haven’t seen it since.
Lost to passion’s partner,
(like love but only in letters).
It cannot be what’s here,
Wrinkled bent and torn.
This can’t be my used to be,
This heart broken, ripped and torn.

No.

O so have you seen my used to be,
So shining clean and new?
Oh have you seen my used to be,
Edges smoothed and pages pure?
