TO BAD YOU ARE SORRY NOW
I NEVER TRUSTED YOU FROM THE START
AND THAT SHOULD'VE WENT STRAIT TO MY HEART
BUT I THOUGHT MAYBE I CAN TRUST THIS ONE MAN
AND SO WITH ALL MY STRENGHTH I HELD ON TO YOUR HAND
AT FIRST IT WAS "ALL THAT GLITTERS IS GOLD"
AND THEN THROUGH THE CRACKS IT STARTED TO GET COLD
THEY SAY ALL GOOD THINGS ARE SOON TO FADE
BUT HOW COULD IT- WITH ALL WE GAVE?
MAYBE IN THIS LIFE I WILL NEVER KNOW
AND THAT COULD BE THE WAY GOD WANTS IT TO GO
THERE WAS A TIME I USED TO HANG ONTO YOUR EVERY WORD
AND WHEN YOU LET ME DOWN, I GOT TO FEELING INSECURE
BUT SOMETIMES THATS HOW YOU WANTED IT TO BE
YOU KNEW IT WAS A LIE AND YOU KNEW I WOULD BELIEVE
BUT EVERYTHING WAS TO ALWAYS BE YOUR WAY
AND I HATED YOU FOR IT MORE AND MORE EVERYDAY
FOR YOU I LOST ALL MY HOPES AND DREAMS
AND TO YOU IT NEVER MEANT ANYTHING
BUT THAT'S WHAT I THOUGHT WAS LOVE
NOW I WONDER WHAT WAS I THINKING OF?
I SEE, ALL YOU WANTED WAS CONTROL
AND NOT SOMEONE LIKE ME TO HOLD.
LOVE, JOSIE P.
