Bless My Stars
At this very moment,
I am thankful for -
a beautiful warm morning
when the world slows down
to relax and celebrate each other,
a house filled with tantalizing smells
and the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade -
a cat curled at my feet,
her cold nose nudging me occasionally
to express her gratitude for
being so loved.
No traveling, no hurry,
no distracions or worries,
just you and I
