The beauty within my talisman
This piece of glass,
polished and carved into a rest for my coffee cup,
is more than that to me -- its my thinking stone.
My talisman.
I take its weight in my palm,
stroking the gentle curve with my thumb.
I can feel the warmth of morning coffee,
and you,
from within its core.
