the cucumber needs to be firm
and how solidly it sits in your palm
is much more important
than how long---
and girl I know they look tough,
but don't bruise them
by peeling over hard.
Next you scoop out the seeds,
and get out your Waring---
maybe put on Blender Blues
by Sister Bonnie for inspiration.
In goes the cuke,
garlic
tahini
and a whole mess of sour cream.
Now pulverize that sucker.
Let it set a while to age and thicken,
and honey girl---
you simply won't believe the flavor....
