the short answer
"do you love me unconditionally?"
i love you unintentionally, i know that much
unconditional is a tough claim
there are lots of conditions that haven't been tested
we might be walking along one day
and i might be happily munching on a chili dog
and you might decide to insult my chili dog
or worse yet, you might hate my chili dog
maybe curse it, and knock it out of my hands
onto the ground
where you might proceed to jump on it
screaming "i hate you, chili dog! i hate you! i hate you! i hate you!"
i could probably come to terms with such a display
but i'm not sure i could come to terms with the emotions evoked on your part
and i could see myself manifesting a hatred of whatever food item you choose to next consume in my presence
a feud might begin between us and our kin
ultimately leading to eating disorders in our bloodlines for generations to come
or even extinction do to inadequate nourishment
if those conditions were met, i suppose i would not love you
i would probably view you as the antichrist
and that would be as unintentional as my love for you
which is real
and better be good enough for you
