A Simple Dream

To stare upon a starry sky
And dream away a night
Makes my thoughts run still
Will tonight be the night I dream of you?
The one, which love knows
My heart has not yet made your acquaintance
I have pondered the thought
Day dreaming a day gone by
When will the day come that I will meet you?
I dream of what it may be like 
When the moment comes
Will I know you?
As I gaze into your eyes
I see the site of a strong, kind and passionate man
A dream, a moment
I have thought of
No sword is beside you
You are not my knight
Who comes in the dark
To rescue me from my fears
You are not a myth or a legend
But a man, who will walk beside me
A warrior of hearts
As we walk each step
You reach for my hand
I feel the strength and warmth of your soul
Embracing and uniting into one
We make another step forward
As you place your hand against my face
I feel my heart trembling 
My mind is numb
No dream could ever be this
The one that love knows
As the sun peaks over the horizon
A quiet wind rushes beside us 
All I hear is the love in my heart
As the moment comes
My dreamy eyes will awaken to you
The warrior of my heart
`Til we meet again in my dreams
As I close my wistfully eyes
