my loss

he gave me an ultimatum
it was either him or my friends
and my drug habit had to go
he fell in love with me
despite my character flaws
but he couldn't take me
spending his money
and hanging out
with my friends
and dulling the sharp
edges of my pain with
drugs and loud party nights
he loved me but he was a
stubborn child
he wanted me all
to himself
he didn't want to share
wanted me all to himself
and so he ended what we had
with an ultimatum and now
I wonder if he's glad he
got his way?
