The fires of my loneliness
The fires of my loneliness
once filled my life with much distresses
& constantly they did suppress
my every chance at happiness
In truth I lost all zest for life, &
everyday was filled with strife
until that is the day you came
into my life & called my name
with tenderness you gave to me
the strenth to set my spirits free
& then you showed me Lovingly,
how wonderful life could be.
As our new frienship grew & grow
a joyous feeling did ensue.
I know that I was born anew
when I realized my love for you.
This love has bounds I cannot see
it is universal poerty;
and with its durabilty,
it shall continue endlessly.
So future trails will not repress;
life's tribulations will not suppress
this well-tempered love which I
forged in the fires of my lonliness possess.
