You say you know what you want,
must not be me-
for if it was our love to prevail,
it's me you would see.
But you insist on being kind,
not wanting to break her heart-
or cloud her mind.
You say "respect this- trust that"
your ignorance-your back it pats.
For you will soon see
I am who I am-
and I can only be me.
You chase me you say,
calling every day-
You still insist and I resist.
I will not stand by and watch you support,
A life, a love you will not abbort.
A sacrafice must be made,
a price must be laid.
I'm not here to make you choose-
but this is something you will lose.
Leave me be-or stand by my side,
This new love found may have already died.
Don't expect or anticipate,
for this trio I will not participate.
She was old, I am new...
You'd better figure out what you are going to do.
