her name was shea

                                                 I dampened a napkin
                                                          and dabbed
                                        at the corners of your mouth.
                             You always get your face dirty when you
                                                                 eat.
    You got change for a dollar and played Sherl Crow on the jukebox;
                                               The song that reminds
                                                                 you
                                                               of me.
                                    You ordered another vanilla coke.
                                             I asked for extra lemon.
                                                                 You
             dropped you cigarette while you were trying to light it.
                                         Your foot kept tapping mine
                                                     under the table.
                  You said it was accidental but we both knew better.
Your hair stuck out on the sides, and your fingernails were clean.
                                              What did we talk about,

                                                        in our booth?
