Chasing a dream

Running to nowhere as fast as I can
Chasing a dream as time just stands
Striving for your love when I have your friendship
Searching for your soul once you've given me your hand
But I need something deeper of yours to grasp
For fear our relationship will not last
Not only then will I lose you, friend
But the rest of myself I found deep within
