Someday

You came into my life and swept me off my feet
Saved me from this hell hole, and became my sweet
Lent me a shoulder on which to cry
You held my hand and kissed my tears goodbye
You built me wings and taught me to fly
You lifted my head and opened my eyes
Showed me the world and all I could be
We held eachothers' hearts and learned to love
Then came a day when we were torn apart
Taken to heaven and away from me, you were
Someday will come when we can again be one
But until then please wait for me
