Appetite

Oh, I've run into the savory morsels
to tempt my taste
with exotic flavors
and spices grown in hot places
mucho caliente
to a girl with humble roots...
but I always find myself longing
for the home cooked variety
that I can find
in my own abode.
Yes, I've found my mouth watering---
but when it's time to choose,
I always order
the well loved,
from a menu card
that's tattered
doggeared
and much handled.
What is it they say?
Don't matter much where you get your appetite,
as long as you eat at home?
