better it be
better it be raining
than the sunshine making little rainbows
on the dews on the leaves and grasses
and the tears threatening to fall
better it be the pitter-patter
than the songs of the birds in the trees
and the laughter of children playing
carried by a cheerful breeze
better it be the roar of thunder
than the silent scraping of feet
and the periodic laughters in between
the conversations of the crowd
better it be the howling wind
than this soft and gentle breeze
like there is nothing wrong with the world
though everything is...for me.
