Missing You... Where Ever You Land

I wonder if you will ever know how much I cared for you?
I wonder if you will ever know how much I wanted to share with you?
I wonder if I'll ever understand what you have gone through?
I wonder if I'll ever have a friend as wonderful as you?

Time went by so quickly, I don't know if I finished telling you 
how much I love you as a friend.
I knew that you were hurt and I wanted to mend your wounds
I knew that you deserve the very best,to someday, be your groom
I pray to the Lord up above...Where ever you land, you find your special love.
I know we had something special,even just as friends
An everlasting Iowa friendship...Which will Never end.

Time may separate us for now, but another day will come
My dear sweet Liza will read my poems and softly cry about love.
Our kind of love, that we two had...No one else could grasp
My tears flowed down my face, while you said "forget about the past"
I knew that you were starting a new life...One that would not include our chats
I fought to type the words in...My heart screamed "I love you"
I don't know if you knew how much until now as I write.
I hope you know how much you have meant to me...You're my guiding light
Of course, I know the difference between reality and dreams
That is why I'm writing to you, while my tears form a stream
I love you my Iowa Friend and I will always miss you...When you need a shoulder
to cry on...
I will stand by you through and through.

Liza, I kissed you on the forehead once and felt shy about doing that.
