SCENE 9- INT. Becca's Truck. Day.
Derek is driving and smoking a 
cigarette. Becca is sleeping
beside him. Derek is remembering.
Music: "All of My Love" (Led Zeppelin)

SCENE 10- EXT. Backyard. Day.
Derek's memory. Carl and Gladys
Crenshaw, Derek's paternal grandparents,
are having a picnic on a quilt in their
spacious backyard beneath a pecan tree.
They are in their 50s and are still
very much in love. Gladys is feeding
Carl black grapes. Derek is playing
in the sandbox. Music is still "All
of My Love."
Gladys: You're supposed to spit the
seeds out, darlin'. If you swallow
'em, vines will grow in your tummy
and tangle up your intestines.
Carl: Woman, talk sense.
Gladys: Tell him, Derek. Tell your
Papaw how dangerous it is to swallow
seeds.
Derek is building an elaborate
palace out of sand.
Derek: You're silly, Mamaw.
Carl: See there, hon? Even
your little grandson thinks
you're a nut.
Gladys: Men. Must you always be
so logical and literal?
