The Sea Breeze

The Sea Breeze

I met you last night beneath the dark empty sky
We talked, we joked but there's so many things in my mind
Why did we end up being like this
Why did both our love suddenly freeze

I was never important enough for you to give up
The attention showered by men whom you treat like mud
Was I a mud, an insignifical smear of dirt
Which you finds it so easy to hurt

My mind wondered while you laughed and smiled
Who is this stranger, my feelings' so mild
I thought I use to know who you are
But now I feel we have drifted so very far

As I smoked my last cigarette
I knew I had to go, its getting wierd
Don't treat me the way like you did
Take advantage of my heart, its so meek

As I stared into the dark empty sky
I felt a breeze, I paused and sigh
Why did we end up being like this
Why did both our love suddenly freeze
